hey! i'm ash - designer and explorer of many things.

For the past seven years I’ve helped some of Australia’s most successful technology startups design products, build teams and define strategies. UX design, product design, service design, gaming, motion design and cats are just some of the things that bring me joy.

I care about uncovering and understanding the right problems; and take a holistic view to build approachable, evidence-based solutions that create meaningful and inclusive experiences.

I’m a humble explorer with an empathetic nature who enjoys sharing ideas over a chai latte in tech, design and leadership. I co-host design meetups and love to participate is design challenges so, if you ever spot me at a Brisbane event please come and say hi!

Trust

The core of a safe and happy team environment, trust empowers people to do their best work. A positive culture is built on trust where accountability, creativity and epic teamwork happens.

I’m passionate about my work and a stickler for the details. I value adaptability, determination and look for the learning opportunities if things don’t go to plan.

The right problems

A great solution to the wrong problem is a disaster. Research and iteration with a human centered approach ensures the right problems are being solved.

Be good

Respecting others and their experiences with empathy and self awareness. Good humans create inclusive communities, they squash toxic behaviours and are way more fun to be around.

Humbly explore

Valuable lessons can come from anyone, regardless of experience. I’ll never stop asking questions to understand the big picture, right down to the little details.
